Terms of Use

There Is No Mouse, published by an independent developer in Switzerland under the SwissTropic label ("the publisher"). Last updated: 2026-07-22.

The product

There Is No Mouse is a desktop app that turns eye tracking and voice into computer control. The eye tracking itself is provided by the separately sold Beam Eye Tracker; There Is No Mouse consumes its gaze signal and turns it into window and input control. The app is currently in alpha: it works and gets daily use, and some edges are still rough.

Trial

Every install includes a 14-day free trial of the full app. No payment details and no account are required for the trial.

Your license

A Pro purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the app, unlocked by a license key tied to your purchase email.
The license is perpetual for the version you are entitled to: it includes 12 months of updates from purchase, and past that window the app keeps working at the entitled version.
One key activates on up to 3 of your devices. Replacing a device is automatic; the least recently used slot is freed.
The key is yours alone. Sharing, reselling, or publishing it is not permitted and can lead to the key being disabled.

Refunds

See the refund policy. A refunded purchase disables its license key.

Fair use

Do not use the app to break the law, attack systems, or reverse the licensing. Do not automate abuse of our servers.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is an input tool that injects keystrokes and window commands on your machine; you are responsible for where you point it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

The Beam Eye Tracker

The Beam Eye Tracker is a separate product with its own maker and its own terms of use, which you accept when you install it. There Is No Mouse is an independent app built on its SDK and is not affiliated with or endorsed by its maker.
Neither There Is No Mouse nor the Beam Eye Tracker is a medical device, and neither is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Do not use the app for safety-critical purposes, where an interruption, defect, or tracking error could lead to death, injury, or physical or environmental damage.

Third-party components

Beyond the Beam Eye Tracker SDK, the app bundles open-source components under their respective licenses, listed in the app's install folder.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. We may disable keys obtained fraudulently or used in breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland.
